services for patients in 25 counties in Georgia and South Carolina. University was recognized
in 2005 as a Magnet Hospital, the nation's top award for excellence in nursing. Some of the

services, a breast center, and satellite centers in Evans and South Augusta.
>> St. Joseph Hospital is a Catholic hospital in Augusta, and is part of Ascension Health, which is the
country's largest Catholic and not-for-profit healthcare system. The hospital is accredited by
the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare, and offers many medical services,
